Cheryl Cole Trades Stocks for Smiles at BGC Charity Day

Cheryl Cole has stepped far beyond the spotlight of the stage and onto the high-stakes trading floor — not for a career pivot, but for something much more meaningful.

The beloved pop star and philanthropist took part in BGC Charity Day, a powerful annual event hosted by BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald to honor the memory of over 700 employees tragically lost in the 9/11 attacks. On this day, celebrities, royalty, and public figures become honorary brokers, fielding phone calls and conducting real trades — with 100% of the day’s revenues donated to global charities via the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund.

Cheryl first donned the broker headset in December 2013 at ICAP (now TP ICAP), and returned again for BGC Charity Day in September 2019, trading not for profit but for purpose. Beaming as she handled transactions and chatted with traders, Cheryl brought her signature warmth and wit to the trading floor, turning complex deals into moments of joy — all for an extraordinary cause.

Her involvement also shines a light on her unwavering support for The Prince’s Trust, a charity she has championed through her own Cheryl’s Trust initiative, aimed at empowering disadvantaged young people across the UK.

Cheryl’s hands-on approach, her willingness to leave her comfort zone, and her presence at such events speak volumes. In an industry where image often overshadows intention, she continues to prove that she’s more than a pop icon — she’s a force for good.

From chart hits to charity trades, Cheryl shows us that true impact happens when heart meets action.
