Lewis Hamilton is ‘hurting’ at Ferrari as Jenson Button notices key change amid Formula 1 woes

Lewis Hamilton’s transition to Ferrari in the 2025 Formula 1 season has proven to be more challenging than anticipated. After six races, the seven-time world champion has yet to secure a podium finish and has been consistently outperformed by his teammate, Charles Leclerc. This underperformance has visibly affected Hamilton, both on and off the track.

Jenson Button, Hamilton’s former teammate and 2009 F1 champion, has observed a notable change in Hamilton’s demeanor. Button described him as calmer and more rounded but acknowledged that the lack of competitive results is taking a toll. He emphasized that Hamilton, known for his fierce competitiveness, is not accustomed to being outpaced by a teammate.

Tensions came to a head during the Miami Grand Prix, where Hamilton expressed frustration over Ferrari’s race strategy. Running on a different tire strategy from Leclerc, Hamilton criticized the team’s communication and decision-making, particularly a delay in allowing him to pass his teammate while on fresher, faster tires. His sarcastic remarks over team radio highlighted his dissatisfaction.

Despite these setbacks, Hamilton remains resolute. He has stated that criticism fuels his determination to improve and that he will not apologize for his fighting spirit. Hamilton’s passion for racing and desire to succeed with Ferrari remain undiminished, even as he navigates the challenges of adapting to a new team environment and car dynamics.

As the season progresses, Hamilton’s ability to overcome these obstacles and return to form will be closely watched by fans and analysts alike.
