Despite a disappointing playoff exit, Stephen Curry remains optimistic about the Golden State Warriors’ future. The Warriors were eliminated from the NBA playoffs after a 4-1 series loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference semifinals. Curry missed the final four games of the series due to a hamstring injury sustained in Game 1.

Reflecting on the season, Curry highlighted the team’s strong performance in the last two months and their first-round victory over the Houston Rockets as indicators of their potential. He emphasized the importance of building on this foundation, stating, “You look at the sample size the last two months and even the Houston series… we had enough to accomplish it and get to a point where we were playing pretty high-level basketball” .

Curry also expressed enthusiasm about the team’s core, including Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler, and head coach Steve Kerr, all of whom have two years remaining on their contracts. He noted the seamless integration of Butler into the team and the belief he instilled, saying, “He gave us so much belief that we could beat anybody any given night” .

Looking ahead, Curry plans to use the offseason to rest and prepare for another championship run, stating, “I’m going to take full advantage of the off-season… and a lot left in the tank to prepare for, so I’m excited about it” .

The Warriors’ leadership remains committed to making necessary adjustments to strengthen the roster and pursue another title. As Curry approaches his 38th birthday next season, his focus is on valuing each moment and building on the current team’s foundation for a hopeful championship run.
